Marvel at one of the oldest submerged cities in the world that dates back to the Bronze Age, around 3,500 years ago. Pavlopetri was noticed in 1967 by British archaeologist Nicholas Flemming, who observed an unusual pattern of lines on aerial photographs of the sea floor. The fascinating discovery revealed the remains of a network of ancient buildings, streets and tombs at a depth of 3-4 m below the sea’s surface.
